We stayed at Grand Lagoona which I can certainly recommend. We hired a carat $70 for 11 days, it was by far the most cost effective and a convienent way to go and it was alot of fun too! The scuba diving is definitely worth while taking a tour. Also eating places in Thailand to visit are The Sweet n Spicy-romantic, delish and cool. Book a table in Bang Bao with your feet over the Gulf!
