Nam Tok Mae Sa Waterfalls – Mae Rim – Chiang Mai

Mae Sa Waterfall, Mae Rim

Mae Sa Waterfall, Mae Rim

About six kilometer from the main road from Chiang Mai to Pai in Thailand’s Mae Hong Sorn Province are the Nam Tok MaeSa falls. The waterfalls are easy to reach from Chiang Mai by Songteaw Taxi or Motorbike. On the way you have many options to rest in an orchid or butterfly farm. The fee for the national park was 40 Thai Baht in 2009. At the Mae Sa are many nice waterfalls surrounded by tight forest and old trees, it’s a pleasant walk through the park. The national park comprised about 10 waterfalls. A hiking path tends to all of them. After you can refresh yourself by a cold drink in one of the restaurants or souvenir shops at the entry of the Mae Sa Park near Chiang Mai in north Thailand.

Mor Paeng Waterfall – Pai – North Thailand

Mor Paeng Waterfall, Pai

Mor Paeng Waterfall, Pai

The Nam Tok Mor Paeng is about 8 km out of Pai city in Thailand’s Maehongson province. On the way to this peaceful place you will pass Thale Mhog Bungalows and the Chinese village next to Pai. This waterfall is free, but take some money if you want to stop somewhere at one of the restaurants to buy some cool drinks or have lunch. The Mor Paeng waterfall is about 15 meter high and is for me one of Pai’s main attractions. Here you will find a lonely place to read a book, relax or just listen to to sound of nature. The surrounding landscapes are dominated by mountains and high and old trees which spend you shadow from the Asian sun. In front of this waterfall in Mae Hongson province in north Thailand is a jungle pool witch invite the visitors to swim, so toke your swimming gear if you want to refresh under the fresh water of the Nam Tok Mo Paeng. The best way to come here is by bike or motorbike. Have fun and enjoy this great travel destination in north Thailand!

Baan Pai Village Guest House, Pai – North Thailand

The Restaurant of Pai Village

The Restaurant of Pai Village

The nice hostel accommodation Baan Thai Village is just a few minutes’ walk from the bus station in the center of Pai in north Thailand. Here at this guest house in the Mae Hong Son province you have the option for bungalows from 350 to 850 Thai Baht. We had a small bungalow in July 2009 with an own bathroom for 350. The rooms for 850 Baht are a bit bigger. All bungalows here at Baan Pai village are made of bamboo wood and have a leaf roof. The way to the cozy hut goes through a beautiful garden with a small water stream and bamboo bridges. In the restaurant of Baan Pai Village they serve good food and cool beverages to cool down of the hot temperatures from the Asian sun. This guest house is a nice option for all travelers in north Thailand who want to stay direct at town of Pai. We enjoyed our stay here at this accommodation not at least of the friendly service at the reception.

Daddys Restaurant @ Chiang Mai

You will find Daddys Restaurant next to the Night Bazaar in direct in Chiang Mai. The small Restaurant serve since 1986 all kind of European, American and local Thai food. The choice is amazing here you can get everything from Pizza, Schnitzel, Steaks over great Ham and Cheeseburgers to Fried Rice ot Tom Yam Thai dishes. My favorite here at Daddys in Chiangmai in north Thailand are the homemade Hamburgers with french fries and the fresh fruit shakes. We paid around 200 Thai Baht for two dishes and beverages, very cheap for that what you get! From the terrace of Daddy’s in Thailand you have a great view to the busy street around the night market, come here to relax from your shopping trip and try something of the huge menu of Daddys in the heart of Chiang Mai City.
