The Riu Palace in Cancun is one of the top hotels in Mexico on the Rivera Maya. the huge first class hotel offer suits with five star comfort and a good service on the desk. The Jacuzzi’s with view over the Caribbean Sea are perfect to enjoy a fruit shake or a cocktail under the hot tropical sun of Cancun. The friendly service at the reception will help you with all kind of travel tour and day trips booking and other activities like scuba diving around Yucatan and hole Mexico in Central America. The hotel Riu Palace Las Americas is not the cheapest but one of the best choice if you like luxury and club holidays with much comfort. I have bin here around one week on my Yucatan vacations in 2005. I enjoyed the perfect service the the delicious food on the white beach. The hotel beach is a big plus, just some meters in the water are a some corals which are perfect for snorkeling. Next to the swimming pool are a scuba school where you cant rent snorkel gear which is as well including the all inclusive of this accommodation in Cancun. Just on the other side of the street are a shopping mall which invite for a walk or a shopping tour after dinner with view on the setting sun on the horizontal of the Caribbean sea at the bay of Cancun. It was a nice holiday here at Riu Las Americas on Yucatan. This is the right address for honeymoon and all tourists who like the total luxury accommodation. The New Tree House on Long Beach
The New Tree House is a nice Restaurant and offer accommodation on a perfect Bay with a beautiful tropical beach on Koh Chang’s East Coast in Thailand. The small and simple Bamboo huts are really cheap and a perfect choose for Backpackers and Travelers. Here on Long Beach is nothing, just the New TreeHouse, the Gulf of Thailand, a white paradise Beach, cosy Bungalows and nice people from around the World on their Travel Tours through South East Asia. The menu of The TreeHouse Restaurant on Koh Chang offer Yummies Thai and Falang food for a good price. The dishes are huge here at TreeHouse, so the right choice after Traveling. My favorite are the delicious Fruit shakes. The best way to come here for a day trip is by Motorbike, if you are a good driver. The streets from Salak Phet and Long Beach are not that developed than in Europe or the Main road of Koh Chang but still it is possible to come here. The street is ok when you have a strong Motorbike or drive alone. If you want to stay here you can take a taxi from the TreeHouse on Lonely Beach which leaves in the morning or make a deal with a taxi driver of the “normal taxis”. The Treehouse on Ko Chang is a good option for Travelers or Tourists who looking for a cosy beach hut direct on the sea surrounded of a quiet bay with a perfect beach in Thailand.
Joy Cottage Ko Chang
Joy Cottage Restaurant is located on the north end on the main road at Lonely Beach on Koh Chang. The Thai style Restaurant, Pub and Bar offer Draft Chang Beer, Homemade Pizza, fresh Bread and fresh Fruit Shakes in a nice atmosphere. At evening a solo artist play guitar and sing Blues, Rock n Roll and Reggae Live Songs and invite Tourists and Backpackers to Jam Sessions. The Joy Cottage Guest House on Koh Chang in Thailand offer as well simple Backpacker Rooms for a good traveler price. At Daytime some traveler Chill, read a book or share tips to Travel Tours around Thailand and Southeast Asia. Joy Restaurant at Lonely Beach on Ko Chang is a good place for people from around the world who want to relax at holidays and meet travelers from many destinations and friendly locals from Thailand. This is a nice easy going Bar and Guest House on the Backpacker Village on Koh Chang in Thailand.
Sea Breeze Bungalows
At the south end of Kai Bae Beach next to Mochaccino Cafe are the Sea Breeze Bungalow accommodation. The Hotel offer clean furnitured rooms with Air Condition and Hot Shower for a good price. The staff Team from this two rows Guest House Park on Koh Chang Island are friendly and helpful for Travel Tips and Tour Booking around Ko Chang. To the Gulf of Thailand it´s round about 100 meter, so easy to reach by foot. Just pass the street and turn left at Papa’s Bakery, the next possibility you can turn right and than you come direct to Kai Bae Beach and to the warm tropical Sea. At Sea Breeze Bungalows in Kai Bae on Koh Chang there are some options of room types. All Rooms have a King sice Bed, TV, Fridge, Air-Con and a hot shower but the smaller ones are a bit cheaper than the bigger rooms. Sea Breeze accommodation are a good options for traveler, Backpacker and Tourists on holiday’s who like a bit comfort for cheap money. Nearly every Room have a big window for enough light inside the big rooms. Monkey Island Bar
The Monkey Island Hotel offer cosy Beach front Bungalows at the Ao Katueng Beach on Ko Maak in the Gulf of Thailand. I was here in the beginning of March 2009 with Moun, my Sister and a Friend. We paid 1800 Thai Baht for a two person Hut with Air-Con and warm water shower. The Bungalows who are not direct on the Beach are cheaper, smaller and have shared Bathrooms and Toilets. Monkey Island Resort is located between “Island Hut Resort” and “Koh Mak Cottage”. The Hut price included as well American Breakfast at the “Monkey Shock” Restaurant and free Internet at the Reception of this accommodation on Koh Maak. For 300 Thai Baht per day they offer Motorbikes to Explore this Island of Thailand. The Beach Huts are beautiful, on the big Terrace are a sofa and a Hang mock for chill and watch the turquoise sea. At the Orang Utang Bar which belong to the Resort are every evening Life Music. In day time you can relax at the tropical beach or on the small pool next to the bar of this accommodation. The Money Island Guest House on Koh Mak are a good choice for Family’s, Backpacker, Traveler and Tourists who like holidays in cosy Beach front Bungalows.

In February 2009 Moun and I did a day trip to the Grand Lagoona Resort at south Koh Chang. If you want to come in you have to pay 150 Thai Baht fee. For the entry fee include a Drink at the beach bar and a bike to be mobile on the big hotel area. The private beach is perfect for swimming. The Grand Lagoona Resort at Bang Bao in Thailand offer many kind of floating rooms. All rooms are on boats which floats in a Lagoon. Even the Swimming Pool with a Pool Bar float on a Boat. The fact that tourists who not stay here pay entry here at Grand Lagoona make keep this place romantic and quiet. The perfect Resort for Honey Moon on the tropical Island Ko Chang in the Gulf of Thailand.

Siam Cottage Bungalows
The Siam Cottage Bangalows are the right choice for backpackers and travelers in Kai Bae Beach on Koh Chang island. All simple Bungalows from this guest house in Thailand have a own bathroom. You have the choice between fan and air-condition. The rooms with fan are of course cheaper. The Restaurant of Siam Cottage Accommodation serve Thai- Western food and fresh fruit shakes for a fair price direct on the beach of Koh Chang. From the balcony you have a good view to the small islands like Koh Yuak in the bay of Kai Bae. The sea here is about 29C warm and invite for swimming and snorkeling. I was middle 2008 here in this accommodation on Koh Chang in the Gulf of Thailand. I paid 300 Thai Baht for a easy Hut with fan and a own Bathroom with toilet. Siam Cottage is a good adress for people who looking for a guesthouse with style. Here you can enjoy your holiday while you chill in your hangmate and read your Lonely Planet travel guide under coconut palms.
Sri Ayuttaya Guest House
This good address offer wooden simple rooms in the capital of Thailand. Here I check always in when I stay in Bangkok. The Sri Ayuttaya Guest House is in the heart of Thewet. The rooms were always clean when I checked in here. At this accommodation you have the choice between simple rooms with fan and share bathroom or a room with air-condition and own toilet. On the ground floor is a small restaurant with Farang and Western food for a good price. If this hostel fully booked you have the choice to check in the Tavee Guest House just behind the Sri Ayuttaya. Both Hostels are owned by the same friendly family. From the hostel it’s just a 5 minutes walk over the Thewet Flower Market to the river Express Boats witch connect you with many sights and central Bangkok. The backpacker street Khoa San Road is about 1 km away and offer many options to go out at night. The booking office on the reception offer Bus, Train and Plane tickets to many destinations worldwide. For small money you can leave your heavy things here while you traveling. Next door there is a Massage studio and an Internet Café. Just opposite is a 7eleven supermarket witch offer everything what you need on your Thailand traveling tour. I can recommend this small but good accommodation with a nice atmosphere to all travelers and backpackers who stay in this southeast Asian metropolis named Bangkok.

Bungalows at Big Elk
The Steak House Big Elk at Klong Prao Beach offer much more than just good food. Here you find a choice of possibilities for stay from a bamboo hut with fan till two floor houses with air-con, TV and a fridge. Between the bungalows and huts there is a swimming pool. The Big Elk Restaurant offer a good choice on Thai and Western food like Spaghetti, Hamburgers and of course Steaks for a good price. My favorite of the thai food is Kao Pat Sapparot Kai which is fried rice with pineapple and chicken. Big Elk Bungalows on the Mountain side of Ko Chang Island celebrate every first and 15th of a month the Chang Spirit Party. This party is organized from the Chang Spirit foundation. The Spirit foundation take care the nature on the Elephant Island in the Gulf of Thailand. On this dates you can listen hereat this accommodation to good live music. The bands play a best of Blues, Reggae, Rock and Pop. The wooden chill out area from the Bar is topped by a beautiful palmleave roof. Everywhere are shells, wooden statures and other natural things from the sea for decoration.
A Frog at Big Elk
The friendly managers help you as well with day trips like scuba diving, elephant trekking and transport to your next travel destination. I´m living here now since about six month in a cheap but nice hut. Big Elk Guest House have special prices for long stay tourists, just ask if you want to rent a bungalow weekly or monthly. Nearly every evening there is a nice round of people at the bar who playing pool, talking, laughing and listen together to good music. I enjoy Big Elk Accommodation at the Klong Prao Beach on Ko Chang because the atmosphere is relax and the people are nice and friendly. It´s the right choice for every Backpacker or traveler on the Island in Thailand. For more information just pass by and ask for accommodation. Chill Out Lounge of my Bungalow
Bang Bao was a small Fisherman village in the south of Koh Chang. In the last years it changed to a “walking street” for tourists with souvenir shops, restaurants, accommodations and guesthouses. But still Bang Bao have flair. The Pier is around 1.5meter wide and 500 meter long. In the end of the pier there is a lighthouse from where you have a nice view over Bang Bao Bay. Bang Bao Sea Hut is the last bungalows on the right side of the longest pier on Koh Chang. The Bungalows are direct over the gulf of Thailand. In nighttime you hear the sea under your bed. Moun and me check in here sometimes when we have a day off. The nice eight corner bungalows have a balcony and a huge glass door where you can watch the beautiful sunset at Bang Bao Bay. For dinner we go mostly to the Sea Bird Restaurant Koh Chang. At Bang Bao Sea huts on Ko Chang they serve the American Breakfast to your balcony over the gulf of Thailand or inside your accommodation on the water by wide open door.

It´s beautiful because of the snorkeling, scuba diving and fisher boats. Many tour bocking offices offer day trips and boat tours in the Mu Ko Chang National Park. For this beautiful Bungalow I paid 1900 Baht in Oktober 2008. This price was for the room with minibar, kingsice bad, satelit TV, air-condition and hot shower with a nice stoh roof. The American Breakfast witch you get served on your balcony is aswell inclusive. I like Bang Bao Sea Huts because of the nice atmosphere and the beautiful view to the sea.
