The view from Lemon Grass Restaurant
Direct on the Sea front at Long Beach on Pulau Perhentian Kecil are the wooden Bungalows of Lemon Grass Charlet. The cosy guest house have nice rooms with fan and a mosquito net which are perfect for traveler. The shared bathrooms are clean and not far from the huts. The Restaurant of Lemon Grass Charlet on Perhentian Island serve good food and fresh drinks to a good price. I paid 20 Ringit on my travel trip for a Bungalow with sea view direct on the paradiese “Long” Beach next to Spice Divers, a scuba dive center on Pulau Kecil. To the next Internet Cafe its 50 meters over the white sand atlong the turquise blue water of the South China Sea. The Charlet’s of Lemon Grass guest house is one of the top guest houses in Southeast Asia, last but not least because of the surounding landscapes of Perhentian Kecil in Malaysia. This accommodation was one of my favourites on this travel trip through Malaysia.

Khao Sarn Road
The most important Street for Backpackers and Travelers is the Khao Sarn Road, here in this busy part of Thailand’s capital are a lot of guest houses, souvenir and t-shirt shops, massage studio’s, restaurants, bars and pubs. The main reasons to stay here should be the bright offer for low budget accommodations and the good possibilities to go out and meet other people on travel tour. To Bangkok’s river express which connect Khao San with the sky train and many sights are just a short walk away and it’s perfect to explore this croudy city in South East Asia. Here in this street you can buy nearly everything: driving licenses, suits, shirts, souvenirs… but actually everything what you buy here is a fake or a copy. If you want to buy originals, better you go in one of Thailand’s super shopping malls around “Siam” sky train station. But still you can find here some nice souvenirs or other cheap thinks if you don’t will use it for a long time. The suits witch you can find are actually high quality products, and the t-shirts are a excellent choice for your trips on Thailand’s beaches and for traveling on the mainland of this beautiful Southeast Asian country. All in all I can say that the Khao Sarn Road is a good choice for all Backpackers in Bangkok who don’t know where to stay and like cheap shopping. Many Travel agencies will help to find a travel connection to your next destination in Thailand, book activities like climbing in Krabi or Scuba Diving on Koh Chang and help you to find a guest house in this metropolis in Asia. My choice here in Bangkok is always the Sri Ayuttaya Hostel which is around one kilometer away from Kao Sarn.
Siam Ocean World
On our short trip to Bangkok in April 2009 we went to the Aquarium at Siam Paragon. At the basement floor of the Paragon shopping mall is the Siam Ocean World located, the best way to reach this sight in Thailand’s capital is by Sky train or taxi. You will see the huge center from the “Siam” Skytrain station. The entry fee was 850 Thai Baht for one person, the fee for kids and locals are less. For a scuba dive at the aquarium with the shark starts at 5300 Baht for one dive including a guide if you have a scuba licence. Without it is a bit more expansive. The Ocean World has many different tropical and colourful fishes, crabs and jelly fisches from many regions of the world but the main attraction are for sure the shark tank with a lot of eagle rays and of course many different sharks. The underwater mermaid shows are the highlight for the kids, and the dive with the sharks is the right choice for dad. If you decide to visit this sight of Bangkok you and especially your kids will enjoy this attraction. After the visit at Siam Ocean World you can go shopping at the big shopping mall Siam Paragon, one of Thailand’s big luxury malls at Bangkok. The Aquarium is a nice option to forget the bad air and the busy roads of Bangkok. Take a stop here and dive into the deep ocean direct in the center of thease Southeast Asian capital without getting wet. Siam Ocean World are a good option for families to spent a great day here at this Asia metropole.
Cha Guest House, Krabi
On the Th Utarakit road in Krabi Townis the small Cha Guest House located. Marius and I have bin here on the Thailand Backpack Tour 2006. The friendly rooms are clean and have a Fan and a small bathroom for 200 Thai Baht in 06. To the beautiful river and the night market in Krabi it’s just 300 meters and easy to walk. The booking office at the desk offer travelconections, fun dives on Koh Phi Phi and much more helpful informations for your Asia Backpack tour. At the Cha Guest House in Thailand we meet many Traveler from around the world, in the evening we was sitting together and talk about travel experience from other destinations in Thailand and Southeast Asia. It was a pleasant stay here at this cozy guest house direct in KrabiTown. Around Cha Hostelare many good Restaurants and posibilities for shopping.
Spa Inn
The Hotel “Spa Inn” accommodation on the mainroad at Ranong is a nice guest house with comfort and atmosphare. We checked in here on our travel tour 2006 through Thailand. For a dobble room wit two beds, TV, Fridge, Air Con and a own bathroom we paid 490 Thai Baht. The special here is that the water for the bathtub’s is comming direct from the hot springs here in Ranong. It’s perfect to take a natural mineral bath after a hard travel day. The rooms at Spa Inn are clean and big enough for two people. To the springs in south Thailand it’s just a short walk at long the highway 4. This guest house is a perfect option for travelers and tourists who looking for a cheap hostel with comfort and style. The frindly service at the reception will make your stay here at this accommodation in Ranong to a highlight on your Asia Backpack tour.

Live Music @ Tapas Bar
The Tapas Bar is a great location direct at the beach of Had Sai Khao on the tropical island Ko Chang in Thailand. The beach bar on White Sand Beach offer everythink what you exept from a Restaurant on the sea: Cocktails, Beers, Reggae music, friendly staff and a beautiful sunset in the evening. Here at Tapas Bar you have the choice between meet good people from around the world, sit and chill or just read a book under trees with the ocean sound in the back. Sometimes a good Blues Band play fantastic live music here on this tropical bar at white sands on Koh Chang. The cosy bamboo hut serve aswell delicious food. My favourites are the baguettes and the french fries. The Tapas Beach Bar is open till late in night. Try it, this bar is one of Koh Chang’s to adresses on White Sand Beach. Tapas Bar on Koh Chang: A great bar with great staff on a perfect location next to the gulf of Thailand.
Bungalow of New Hut
On our Travel Tour through Thailand in 2006 we went to Ko Samui’s second popularest beach Hat Lamai. Here we stayed at a nice beach front Bungalowfrom the “New Hut” guest house. The cosy bungalows build direct on the perfect white beach of Hat Lamai. We price was 300 Thai Baht. The small rooms have a fan and a mosquito net. In night time the sound of the ocean will sing a good night song for you. The Restaurant and Cocktail Bar of the New Hut accommodation serve authentic Thai food and some western dishes. The staff will help you for all kind of travel questions and the desk offer bookings for all kind of activities like scuba diving for a fair price. The New Hut in the south of Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand was one of our best accommodation on our travel tour. The simple rooms of this guest house in Thailandhave much atmosphare and is the right location if you want to meet many Backpackers from around the world to speak and chill together next to the blue sea in a cozy and cheap accommodation.

On On Hotel floor
The On On Hotel is direct in the center of the capital of Thailand‘s Phuket Province. The Guest Houseat the south offer old but nice rooms with charme for a good backpacker price. We paid on our Thailand Travel Tour 06300 Thai Baht for a two bed room with a own bathroom and a fan. Around the Guest House, next to a Chinese Shrine, are many Restaurants and Bar’s which are easy to reach by foot. The Friendly staff team of the On On Hotel are really helpful for travel trips and tips around Phuket and whole South East Asia. The building are in Chinese and Portuguese architecture and have a bit of end time feeling. The rooms at On On accommodation are famous from the movie “The Beach” with Leonardo DiCaprio as the main actor. At the Hotel desk you can rent Motorbikes to explore the city in your individual style. As well they offer Travel Tours around Thailandand connections to many destinations in Asia. I can recommend this cosy Hostel for Backpacker who want to feel the flair of an old but beautiful Guest House with atmosphere for a good price. Le Village, KL
In 2007 on my Southeast Asian Travel Tour through Malaysia, Singapore and Bali I checked in at Le Village in Kuala Lumpur’s China Town district. The cosy guest house is a old established Hostel with a lot of charme and atmosphare. The staff at Le Village accommodation is friendly and helpful for travel tips. At this easy going establishment I paid 12 Ringit for a single room with fan. Here at Le Village accommodation in Malaysia you can cook by yourself, the share backpacker kitchen is not the cleanest one but have everythink what you need. One floor up is a public TV room where the Backpacker “family” meet in the evening to talk about travel experience from the last destinations and share pictures. I enjoyed my time here in this simple guest house in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. The people are friendly and the price is cheap. to the Metro it is not far, after about 5 minutes walking through the city you will reach the station. It’s the right choice for low budget travelers on their way through Peninsular and whole Asia.

The Phuket Graceland Resort and Spa is on the beach front of Patong in Thailand. This five Star luxury Hotel offer everythink what you exept of a perfect holiday in Asia. I stayes here in April 06 on my first vacations in Thailand with a friend. Jens and I arrived on the 13th af April, the first day of the Songkran Festival (new year in Thailand). We enjoyd the 5 star Resort because of the clean and beautiful rooms with atmosphare and the friendly staff of the Graceland hotel on Koh Phuket in south Thailand. Try as well the Massage and the Spa service of the hotel, here you can relax and enjoy your holiday without compromises! If you travel on budget Travel Tour I can recoment the “Touch Villa” Guest House in Patong Beach.
