We paid in October 2009 350 Thai Baht for a beautiful double room direct on a lake with hot shower, minibar and satellite TV. The price for a Air-Con Bungalow was 500 Baht. The Rim Doi accommodation is a bit out of town but you will recognize the signs in Chiang Dao center to this great address in northern Thailand. The Restaurant and Bar of the Resort serve traditional Thai and Western dishes for reasonable prices. In the beautiful garden of this accommodation is a fishing lake where you can relax and fishing for 50 Baht for a half day. The room service serve you cold beers and other beverages without extra coast direct to the terrace of your Bungalow. Here you can rest a while from your travel stress and enjoy the beautiful enviroment of the Rimdoi Resort in Chiang Dao.
Lilu Hotel in Pai
The beautiful Lilu Hotel in the center of Pai offer stylish rooms with international standard for reasonable prices. In the north of old Chiang Mai in Thailand is the small Guest House “Maa-T-Nee”. The Hostel for backpacker and students has easy but cheap rooms with hot water shower, TV and a fridge. If you want to check in here at Martini you can get out of songteaw at Siam TV and from there it’s a 50 meter walk in the Wiang Keaw Road. Maa-T-Nee in Chiangmai in the north of Thailand offer daily – weekly and monthly room prices. We paid in 2009 3500 Thai Baht for a room with air condition per month. The rooms with fan were 2500 excluded electricity and water. This accommodation is not the best but one of the cheapest Hosels here in central Chiang Mai. From Maa-T-Nee Guest House it’s not far too many attractions like Wat Phra Sing, Sunday Waking Street or the Morntharan Temple in the old city. This is the right option for traveler and longtime tourists who look for a cheap Hostel in the heart of Chiang Mai Town in Thailand.

Fuengfa Place is a Hotel in Chiang Mai in Thailand near the historical city moat in the north-west of old CM in Thailand. Many attractions like the Sunday City Market or Wat Phra Singh are in walking distance from this quiet Guest House in the Arak Rd.. Fuengfa Place offer clean hotel rooms with a good atmosphere for daily or monthly guests. We paid for a beautiful room here in the heart of Chiang Mai 5500 Thai Baht per month. For this you get accommodation with TV, fridge, hot water shower, Air condition, balcony, a weekly cleaning service and last but not least a friendly reception service. For wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) on your room you have to pay 300 Baht extra per month. If you don’t travel with your notebook you can go to the reception of Fuengfa Place Guest House in Chiang Mai where you have everyday 15 min free I-net to check your E-mails. For me is this Hotel the best option to stay in CM in north Thailand. I can recommend this place as accommodation to all people who plan a longtime stay in Chiang Mai.
Our room in Chiang Khong
The wooden house of the Namkhong Guest House offer small but clean rooms for a cheap backpacker price. The bathrooms with hot water are on the floor. The friendly service on the reception arranges everything for your Laos visa for you (USD, Visa…). The short way of about 50 meter to the waterside of the river is just one reason to choose this accommodation here in Chiang Khong on the Mekong in north Thailand. The restaurant of the Namkhong Guest House in Chiang Khong is open till midnight and shows every evening movie in English and Thai subtitles. We fell good here at Namkhong accommodation and will check in if we travel again to this cozy village in Thailand.
The floor of the Phetsokxai Hotel in Pak Beng
Direct on the Mekong bank road, not far from the jetty for the slow boats from Huayxai to Luang Prabang, is the Phetsokxai Hotel located. This middle class Hotel in Pakbeng in Laos have nice wooden rooms with hot shower, TV, Fan and a great view over the Mekong delta. The price was 20 USD in the middle of 2009. Not the cheapest accommodation but a good option for backpackers on their way through Laos PDR in SE Asia. Around the Phetsokxai Hotel in Pak Beng are a lot of good restaurants for a romantic dinner with view to the river. The electricity here in this village is rare but this Hotel offer electric from 6 to 12 o’clock in night with generators. The Phetsokxai is a good choice for all who want to have accommodation with a bit comfort after a hard and long boat trip on the Mekong.
